A Farmer

A Farmer

What’s for dinner? We ask usually, but do we ever ask who was standing in the rain or dripping his every drop of sweat to irrigate the soil, make fertile enough to grow that basmati you were having last night or the lentils. NO asking, NO acknowledging, nothing why do even bother to do so after all he was a FARMER. Farmer is known to be the backbone of the country, especially in our country but mostly at the time of elections as they share a total of 58% of the entire population of this massive and rapidly growing population so politically they are an eminent part of the population, but do they get their rights fulfilled as the feeders of the nation? I guess everyone reading this knows the answer very well.

I The cracks on the foot of this man show the gulch or trench dug by the hit of poverty, loss of self-esteem, and confidence to fulfill the basic need of his and his family those cuts there have seen the face of discrimination and rejection that you and I can never even imagine. life of a farmer is as important to every resident of this country as the life of a soldier at the borders but neither farmer get well paid in money nor in respect. suicides of farmers are common news that we all encounter on a weekly basis somewhere somewhy daily a farmer takes his own life and left with no choice to lead his life forward, well that’s a pity for a country where the former prime minister of India late Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji compared them to same as god as praised them there whole life. The only this we can do is if you ever come across someone whose bread and butter comes from filling your plate be polite and respectful to them that will cost us nothing but can someone become an unexpected reason to smile and you will feel the happiness too.
