Betrayal’s Flame

Betrayal’s Flame

Learning from a mistake,

nothing but a failure,

Let me tell you a story,

It all began with betrayal.

They came from every corner,

diving for my soul,

They craved a fulfilling silence,

and removed what made me whole.

Binding the maiden to her fears,

They poured mockery into her ears,

With nothing but trickery on their backs,

They lit her flesh with a wandering match.

A flame of truth,

concealed with deceit,

Fed to her innocence,

She devoured its disease.

Chained to the walls, trapped in my soul,

I suppose I will rot in this hellhole,

Whilst lost thoughts trail closer,

I do nothing but beckon for closure.

I will take till nothing is left,

to slice and decapitate those who slept,

On my bloodied and bruised flesh,

Then I’ll wipe the blade on my tattered dress.
