Diving Deep

Diving Deep

Every word speaks my mind,
Every tune sticks to my bones.
All of a sudden, it seems so clear,
It's whispering all I need to hear.

I dive in deep, as it echoes through me,
Ears pricked up, I listen to the piece. Somebody's clearly been stripping it of its jewels,
Laid it bare before me to see what I couldn't.

I close my eyes, let the tear fall,
It's ethereal and enchanting, as I absorb it all.
When no one sees through the tangled mess,
Even the presence of a shadow doesn't feel less.
