Falling

Falling

I keep falling and falling
To depths unknown.
The ground didn’t come,
And I didn’t care either.
I was just so overjoyed
With the feeling of weightlessness.
Nothing at all mattered,
Nothing at all.

I dropped onto the ocean.
I felt I was still falling
Until the ocean pushed me upwards
With a giant force.
Look, ma, I am rising
Towards the sky and the infinite.

Regretfully, I ended up on the water’s surface,
Joints and back hurting like a furnace.
A part of me wished to be on a swing
In a spring driven by land and sea.
Why though? As my circumstances say,
Nothing ideally matters,
Nothing at all.
