Night sky

The sky is not just a sky tonight,

it is a mirror of something hidden within me,

It is the thoughts that implode in my mind,

The secrets buried deep inside,

A family that would break if it was brought to light,

An inter battle she will always fight,

At times she wonders if she will lose her mind,

Is this how insanity is started?

Words left unsaid that trigger a haunting memory that stays in repeat?

A memory that no longer lets you even sleep,

Visions flash when you close your eyes,

A man who told you to stay when there was abuse,

Who called you weak! The man who made you not want to speak,

He triggered your insecurities,

Made you want to die,

You bleed while you cried,

A father who was supposed to protect you throwing you to the wolves,

I have found my strength even though your hatred and doubts,

I look to the sky it empowers me,

I will prove to you your daughter is fall from weak!!
