Now Make Me Come Alive Because I’m-
Buried alive.
You worry
Horror, indignation, a man with a soul still in
His body.
Banished
Hades will close his welcoming doors
to him, alive.
But me, dead
And still I wander these streets.
Him, you seek to recover
Me, nobody hears
My legs and arms, still suffer
My head, yet turns when it hears my name
My heart, it has that deadly beat
But please, reanimate me the same.
You shock his limbs back into movement
So galvanize my soul, reanimate my spirit
You take the living, them you tear apart
I tell you I’m no longer living
Take me instead
And if you tell me the stories of Frankenstein again
And how his creature had no soul
Then why did he feel the weight of one
While I sit here and feel none?
I tell you take a needle and a knife
Cut me open
Sew and stitch
Don’t tell me you can’t create my soul
When you know just how to destroy it
If nothing else, put my body to rest
Why do you let me roam this street?
I ring the bell, but no one comes
I fear that none will see my state
Or some choose not to see
So I’ll walk till someone lays me to rest
Or believes they can galvanize me.
