Take Time

Take Time

It's best that I take time.
Patience has alluded me for long.
Like rotten apples in the basket
grief spills over, my shrieks run
deep in the wild. All this while
I sit idle in my room,
My body flickering like nightlights.
All I speak is loud voices
like young guys in their 20s do,
full of newly found confidence
and shallow patience.
Not for once somebody tells me to be slow.
Why do they only tell the half truth?
I'm now learning how to be patient,
A whole new perspective to adapt,
It's best that I take time.
